Local cricketer cycled 160 miles for Parkinsons UK
Eaton Socon’s Wicket Keeper has done a 160-mile bike ride for charity. Max Jordison, and his friend Liv completed the bike ride in aid of the Parkinson’s Disease Society, in support of his dad, Neil, who has the disease.
The bike ride took place at the weekend on the 16th and 17th March, they cycled to all the cricket clubs which are in the Eaton Socon 1st team league. They started at Wisbech CC at 7am on the Saturday morning, with the first stop being Ramsey CC.
They ended their first day with many aches and pains but recuperated and started their second leg of the journey at Sawston CC on the Sunday morning. They were joined by a friend in Dunton, Mungo Ryan, who stayed with them until they reached Blunham CC.
Then it was time for the last stretch of their journey, to the final stop, Eaton Socon CC, Max’s club. Here, they were greeted by a crowd and a big applause.
Let's give a huge round of applause to Max and Liv for their incredible achievement! From all of us at Cricket East, a massive congratulations are in order. Together, they've already raised over £2500, and the donation window is still open. Let's continue to show our support and generosity!
