Cricket East

On Monday 17th February some of the County Age Group Squads from Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire were invited to University of Bedfordshire's Bedford Campus for a great experience.

The day was set up as the beginning of a new partnership launched between Cricket East and the University and will be the first of many opportunities to work together moving forward.

15 County Age Group Squad members across both counties ranging from 14-18 attended and were lucky enough to be able to see and experience the state of the art facilities available in the sports laboratories, sports hall and brand new sports therapy suite.

The day was broken up into three parts with Biomechanical testing in the Sports Science Laboratories
Speed and agility testing in the Sports Arena, and Anatomical screening in the Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Clinic. This gave the CAG players an opportunity to test their fitness levels and understand injury prevention/management with the support of staff and students from the Universities School of Sport Science and Physical Activity
