Cricket East - New Independent Board Members
Cricket East Is Looking to Appoint New Independent Board Members
Cricket East is a collaborative organisation responsible for delivering the England & Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) participation and growth activities, and supporting recreational cricket as well as the performance pathway programmes across Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire, creating links between schools, clubs, leagues and the community. Our vision is to lead and influence the development of the game while inspiring everyone to take part and grow cricket in an accessible and inclusive way. We have approximately 150 affiliated cricket clubs and each year support and co-ordinate the delivery of a programme of activities and products, which work across the cricket network to embed the sport at the heart of our local communities.
We want to broaden cricket’s loyal base and make the game more representative and accessible, and we wish to appoint up to four Independent Directors to join our new Board to support us in achieving our goals. These roles will offer critical leadership as we aim to provide a healthy and sustainable future for the cricketing family across Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire. Board Members need to be able to demonstrate leadership and operate at a strategic level in order to ensure the organisation operates efficiently and effectively to achieve its priorities and to ensure long-term sustainability into the future. Prior board experience is not required, and we will keenly look to support and develop new members with the ambition, talent and commitment to enable us in our goals.
