Cricket East

Cricket East is delighted to announce Luke Swann as our new Performance Lead. Luke’s role will be to oversee the County Age Groups in Bedfordshire & Huntingdonshire as well as launching our own Emerging Player Pathway based from Bedford College from November 2020.

Luke remains on the professional coaching staff at Northamptonshire CCC running their EPP programme, centre of excellence programme and support coaching to the professional staff, whilst undertaking these new wider responsibilities. This extends Cricket East’s link with Northamptonshire CCC and is part of further growth in our partnership and Luke’s involvement will be instrumental in providing further opportunities for the partnership to grow.

Ray Payne Northamptonshire CCC CEO said “This is a great example of the partnership between Northamptonshire and Cricket East, developing and strengthening the player pathway in both Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire, I wish Luke every success”.

Luke will be in post as of 3rd February 2020 and will be available to support throughout the 2020 season. The current performance team remains in place with Cain Hamilton-Boyle and Lee Smith as performance coaches in Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire respectively.
