Huntingdonshire Indoor Cricket League
Gets off to a great start!
The Huntingdonshire Indoor Cricket League returned on Sunday 11 November at Vivacity Bushfield Sports Centre. The league which is organised by Vivacity and Cricket East returns for the Winter with 8 local cricket teams trying to win the 2018/2019 Huntingdonshire Winter Indoor League title.
Week 1 Results:
2.30pm Match 1 – CAMRA beat Orton Park by 60 runs.
CAMRA 182-2 from 10 overs. Sam Tyler not out 47, Alan McLean 34 not out, Nick Bradbury 26 (retired) Pete Jex 26 (retired) Matt Mitchell 18 and Matt Rowe 17.
Tightest bowling from Mark Durham – 16 from 2 overs and best figures Natalie Durham 1-28 from 2 overs.
Orton Park 122-4 from 10 overs. Teenager Tom Smith 45, Jamie Parrish 29 not out. Matt Mitchell took 3-20 for CAMRA.
3.30pm Match 2 – Werrington beat Kings Keys B by 2 wickets.
Kings Keys B 170-4 from 10 overs. Saad Ashraf not out 62 and Sunny Singh not out 42. Jagdeep Singh 22. Junaid Hussain the tightest 1-24 from 2.
Werrington 172-4 from 9.5 overs. Mudassar not out 58, Muhammad Bilal 42 and Ansir Ali 31 not out. Gary Singh 2-24 from 2 overs.
4.30pm Match 3 – Hampton beat Kings Keys A by 3 wickets.
Kings Keys A 97-5 from 10 overs. Usman Sadiq 17, Rayaan Ali 14. Sohail Azam only went for 4 runs in 2 overs!
Hampton 101-3 from 7.1 overs. Krisha Kumar not out 25, Jawal Ali 23. Mohammed Saif 1-17 from 2 overs.
5.30pm Match 4 – Ufford Park beat Bretton by 3 wickets.
Bretton 127-4 from 10 overs. Andy Bennett not out 38, Matt Bennett 18, Gary Bennett 17. Waheed Javeed 2-13 from 2 overs.
Ufford Park 128-4 from 9.2 overs. Waheed Javeed 45, Andy Larkin not out 32 and teenager Ibrahim Javeed not out 23. Neil Buckingham 2-38.
