Week 4 results.
The Huntingdonshire Indoor Cricket League returned in November at Vivacity Bushfield Sports Centre. The league which is organised by Vivacity and Cricket East has 8 local cricket teams trying to win the 2018/2019 Huntingdonshire Winter Indoor League title.

Match 1 - Ufford Park beat Orton Park by 4 wickets
Orton Park 108-5 from 10 overs. Cameron Harris 32, Kester Sainsbury 24 not out, Tom Smith 23.
Ufford Park 109-2 from 7 overs. Waheed Javeed 35 not out, Joe Harrington 26 (Retired) Andy Larkin 25 (Retired)
Orton’s innings was based around their 3 teenage players Harris, Sainsbury and Smith who all scored heavily. Joe Harrington got 2 run outs with direct hits for Ufford.
In reply Ufford’s openers Waheed Javeed and Andy Larkin got the innings off to a good start before Harrington in the middle order saw Ufford home.
Match 2 – Kings Keys B beat CAMRA by 78 runs
Kings Keys B 172-3 from 10 overs. Ali Haider 61 not out, Saad Ashraf 53 (Retired) Usman Farooq 31 not out. Pete Jex 2-31
CAMRA 94 all out from 8.2 overs. Sam Tyler 23, Alan McClean 16, Matt Rowe 16. All 5 bowlers took a wicket each and there was a run out by Leo Singh. Ali Haider was the tightest only going for 11 runs in his 2 overs.
Kings Keys B team won for the first time this winter with a 78 run victory over CAMRA. Kings Keys B were 79-3 after 5 overs before plundering 93 runs from the last 5 overs. Kings Keys B openers Saad Ashraf and Ali Haider both retired twice (you have to retire at 25 and then you can come back in later) In Haider’s case he retired twice and then also came back in finishing unbeaten on 61 (4x6 and 2x4), while opener Saad Ashraf made 53 (4x6 and 2x4) This was Ashraf’s 3rd 50 of the season. He has scored 183 runs in 4 innings and only been out once! Usman Farooq also batted well and was unbeaten on 31 (1x4 and 2x6). Pete Jex had the best bowling figures of 2-31, which also included a caught and bowled.
In reply CAMRA made 94 with Sam Tyler top scoring with 23.
Match 3 – Hampton beat Werrington by 2 wickets
Werrington 57 all out from 6.4 overs. Amir Yasin 18, Javad Ghani 14. Sohail Azam 2-8.
Hampton 59-4 from 7.5 overs. Najeeb Ur-Rehman 17 not out, Sohail Azam 17.
From one high scoring match, to a low scoring one. Werrington were in all kinds of trouble at 17-4 before making 57. Sohail Azam took 2-8 for Hampton. In reply Azam made 17, before the cool head of Najeeb Ur-Rehman with an unbeaten 17 saw Hampton home by 2 wickets with 13 balls remaining.
Match 4 – Bretton beat Kings Keys A by 92 runs
Bretton 168-3 from 10 overs. Ryan Evans 58 not out (5x4 and 3x6) Shakil Hussain 27 (Retired), Matt Bennett 25 not out, Luke Marriott 24.
Kings Keys A 76 all out from 10 overs. Mohammed Saif 18, Mohammed Shazad 18. Ryan Evans 2-5, Shakil Hussain 2-8.
Bretton’s 168-3 was built around a brilliant 58 from Ryan Evans who passed 50 for the 2nd time this season. Evans was then the pick of the bowlers with 2-5 and also taking 2 catches to be involved in 4 of the wickets that fell.
