Week 6 results - 3 February.
The Huntingdonshire Indoor Cricket League returned in November at Vivacity Bushfield Sports Centre. The league which is organised by Vivacity and Cricket East has 8 local cricket teams trying to win the 2018/2019 Huntingdonshire Winter Indoor League title.

Match 1 - Hampton beat Ufford Park by 10 runs
Hampton 104-5 from 10 overs. Dannish Rasheed 39 (3x4 and 2x6), Saqib Ali 34 not out (1x6 and 1x4), Waheed Javeed 2-18.
Ufford Park 94-3 from 10 overs. Andy Larkin 30 not out (2x4 and 1x6), Waheed Javeed 28 (Retired 1x4 and 3x6).
This was Ufford’s first defeat of the season and with Hampton winning and other results going their way pushed them up to 2nd. Hampton were in deep trouble at 30-4, but 39 from Dannish Rasheed in his first match of the season and an unbeaten 34 from Saqib Ali pushed Hampton into 3 figures. Waheed Javeed was involved in 4 wickets with 2 run outs and taking 2-18 from his allotted 2 overs.
In reply, despite Andy Larkin being unbeaten on 30 and Javeed retiring at 28 (batsman retire at 25 and then recycle back in order when other players are out) tight bowling in the later overs saw Ufford fall 10 runs short.
Match 2 – Kings Keys A beat Kings Keys B by 24 runs
Kings Keys A 148-5 from 10 overs. Usman Sadiq 51 not out (1x4 and 1x6), Mohammed Saif 30 (1x4 and 2x6), Ibrar Ahmed 23 (3x4 and 1x6).
Kings Keys B 124-5 in 10 overs. Hamza Shamin 42 not out (3x4 and 2x6), Saad Ashraf 20, Atif Zaroob 19 (2x4), Dan Ashraf 2-25.
The Kings Keys A team built their score around opener Usman Sadiq, with an unbeaten 51, with other useful contributions from Saif and Ahmed. In reply the B team were always behind the run rate with Ibrar Ahmed the pick only going for 8 runs from his 2 overs.
Match 3 – Orton Park beat Werrington by 1 wicket
Werrington 154-5 from 10 overs. Ahmed Kamboh 51 not out (6x4 and 1x6), Jawad Ghani 32 (1x4 and 1x6), Bilal Mushtaq 30 (1x4 and 1x6).
Orton Park 156-5 from 9.2 overs. Cameron Harris 49 not out (3x4), Ghafoor Rehman 32 (1x6), Jawad Ghani 2-19.
Werrington large score of 154-5 was built around Ahmed Kamboh with an unbeaten 51 in his first match of the season. Jawad Ghani (32) and Bilal Mushtaq (30) also scored heavily. In reply, openers Ghafoor Rehman and teenager Cameron Harris both retired and then came back in with Rehman out for 32. However, teenager Harris scored the last 15 on his own to see Orton home by 1 wicket with 4 balls remaining.
Match 4 – CAMRA beat Bretton by 5 runs
CAMRA 126-5 from 10 overs. Alan McLean 53 not out (1x4 and 1x6), Sam Tyler 39 (4x4 and 1x6), Dave Bennett 2-24.
Bretton 121-5 from 10 overs. Ryan Evans 43 not out (4x4 and 2x6), Matt Bennett 16 (1x4 and 1x6), Neil Buckingham 15, Dave Bennett 15.
For the 3rd match running tonight, there was a score of 50 with wicket keeper/batsman Alan McLean finishing unbeaten with 53 for CAMRA. Dave Bennett was again in the thick of the action taking 2 wickets with his bowling and getting another 2 with direct hit run outs. In reply, despite another explosive knock from Ryan Evans, Bretton got bogged down in the middle overs and CAMRA, after losing 3 on the bounce won by 5 runs.
