And They Want to Hear from You!
The Huntingdonshire CCC 50+ squad celebrated a fantastic 2023/24 season with an end-of-season presentation on Friday 25th October. The event took place at Beckets Traditional Tea Rooms in Peterborough, where players and supporters gathered to reflect on their achievements.
Highlights of the night included the announcement of key award winners:
Clive Evans took home Batsman of the Year.
Dave Carlaw earned Bowler of the Year.
Ali Anthony was crowned Player of the Year.
The evening also featured appearances by Team Manager Bob Milne, Dominic McMullan from Ganadores Sports Marketing, and Graham and Tracy Cleaver, the gracious hosts from Beckets Traditional Tea Rooms.
Exciting Upgrades in 2024 -
The Hunts 50+ team has been stepping up their game on and off the pitch. This season the team secured new playing, training, and leisure gear provided by Surridge, which can be viewed here.
Adding to the excitement, Beckets Traditional Tea Rooms became a proud sponsor, treating the team to delicious cricket teas at every home game. With cricket teas becoming a rarity, this support from Graham and Tracy is a big win for the team and the sport’s cherished traditions.
Looking Ahead
To keep the momentum going, the Hunts 50+ squad recruited fresh talent this year and is eager to bring more players on board. If you’re a club player looking to join a vibrant and welcoming cricket community, they’d love to hear from you!
