Cricket East

With the support of Hunts School Sports Partnership, Cricket East ran its first Key Stage 1 Cricket Skills Festival in Huntingdonshire with children from 2 local primary schools – Great Gidding Primary and Ramsey Spinning Infant - taking part. Thanks to the amazing Young Leaders from Abbey College, Ramsey who helped the children to achieve their personal best in throwing, catching and batting challenges.

Cricket East also recently took part in the Bedford & Kempston and North Bedfordshire School Sport Partnerships Change for Life Festival. The three-day event saw 30 schools and nearly 1200 children taking part at Castle Newnham, Lincroft and St Thomas More Schools in Bedfordshire. The cricket tasters gave the children a great first experience of cricket - they had opportunity to hit the ball off a tee, hold a cricket bat correctly and stand next to the ball.
