Disability and inclusive cricket activities came to the Cresset Centre in Peterborough on Saturday 9 February as part of ‘Sporting Saturday’.
The annual event, in its sixth year and organised by Inspire Peterborough, offered a wide range of disability and inclusive sports such as boxing, martial arts wheelchair dance, cricket and much more.
The event was very busy with hundreds of participants and over 40 activities and stands from local sports providers and agencies.
Cricket East’s popular cricket slot provided an opportunity to try some fun-based cricket drills! Young participant, Freddie Stallebrass (pictured with his family), was awarded a signed Mark Ramprakash mini bat as the star of the day – success for Freddie was managing to hit the ball with the bat with his one good arm and hand. He was keen to attend our Disability Hub sessions on a Thursday at Focus Community Centre, Peterborough.
