Opportunities across Bedfordfshire & Huntingdonshire.
Table Cricket provides young people with a physical or learning disability the opportunity to play in a competitive game of cricket. The emphasis is on teamwork and sportsmanship in an informal and enjoyable environment.
Cricket East is already delivering Table Cricket sessions in two local schools – St John’s Special School & College in Bedford and Ivel Valley School in Biggleswade and sessions will start at a further 7 schools in the New Year – Denbigh High School in Luton, Ernulf Academy and Samuel Pepys School in St Neots, Grange Academy in Kempston, Phoenix School and Marshfields School in Peterborough and Spring Common Academy in Huntingdon.
At the end of the regular sessions, County Finals Days will be held for Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire where the competing teams play a round-robin event and a county winner is crowned at the end of it. The winning team from each county competition is then invited to a Regional Finals Day with that winner representing the region for a National Finals day, held at Lord's Cricket Ground Nursery Pavilion.
If your school has students with either a physical or learning disability and you would like to get involved – call Eddie Ballard on 07880 636482 or email eddie.ballard@cricketeast.co.uk.
