Cricket East held a successful Welcome Day on Sunday 10 March for all of Huntingdonshire’s new Young Cricketers and Bedfordshire’s U10s, 11s and 12s.
English former cricketer Kabir Ali was there on the day and gave an inspirational talk about his life in cricket as well as fitness and player progression, kit supplier Serious Cricket were present to showcase the range of kit and equipment available to players and talks were given to parents and young cricketers on the programme plans for 2019.
Positive feedback was given from parents and youngsters! Shaftab Khlaid, Cricket East's Performance Lead (Hunts & Beds) said: "The impact of having a Welcome Day with an England player has been really positive and parents and young people want to see the change."
