Cricket East is again involved with the Young Leaders in Cricket Programme, which over the past few years has given plenty of younger people opportunities to upskill and learn vital leadership qualities.
Cricket clubs are crying out for more volunteers, and one area that we could target to assist within club life is young people.
The Young Leaders in Cricket Programme is a fantastic opportunity for people aged between 14-16 to take part.
The purpose of the programme is to give them the opportunity to develop leadership skills that will allow them to volunteer within their cricket club and/or school.
Training given is made up of 5 modules: Activator coaching, umpiring and scoring, grounds keeping, First Aid and Fundraising.
We have two ‘Enthuse’ Presentation evenings across Beds & Hunts. Flitwick CC, MK45 1AE on 3rd March and Houghton & Wyton CC, PE28 2BJ on 11th March both 7pm starts (they are the same presentation, so only no need to attend both)
We have created a link for anyone that is interested, to sign up to one of these evenings to get the lowdown on what exactly the programme is and how it can benefit the individual and the club. By booking onto an Enthuse presentation, they are not committing to the programme. Please by all means, if the club/school wish to come along, you too are very welcome to see how it will benefit the club/school
