Finding it hard to decide what entry level qualification to take? ECB Foundation 1 or ECB Core Coach?

Both courses are lead coach qualifications in that they will qualify you to deliver sessions independently. However, there are noticeable differences. The Foundation Coach course has been designed to develop a learner’s knowledge, skills and confidence to use icoachcricket to coach safe, fun and inclusive sessions that ignite a lifelong love of the game.
An ECB Foundation Coach will be qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and without supervision
It is advisable but not essential to attend the ECB Foundation course first as this will give you an understanding of the fundamentals of how to create a safe, fun environment for the players you will be working with

Commitment:
ECB Foundation Coach
- 11 modules (7 bitesize e-learning and 4, 3 hour face to face modules)
ECB Core Coach
- 14 modules (6 bitesize e-learning and 8, 3 hour face to face modules)
Playing/coaching experience
ECB Foundation Coach
- No experience of playing or coaching desired or required
ECB Core Coach
- Experience of coaching cricket is desirable
