The ECB Core Coach programme is another entry level qualification (although it is equivalent of a level 2) for coaching cricket in England and Wales alongside ECB Foundation I Coach.
This programme has been designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead player-centred coaching sessions. An ECB Core Coach will be qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and without supervision.
The programme will consist of fourteen modules in total. Six e-learning modules are integrated with eight face-to-face modules.
The first 6 modules of the course are undertaken online by the candidates before module 7

First Aid:
It is worth noting that there is no First Aid qualification attached with the course, therefore, candidates do not need one in order to gain certification and qualify. Us and ECB are still recommending that coaches have one and Clubmark clubs must ensure all coaches have a valid 1st aid qualification, but it is down to the deploying body (i.e. the club, the school or organisation the candidate be representing) to source a first aid qualification.
