Diversity cricket is using cricket as a tool to engage people regardless of age, ability and ethnicity to play cricket.
We aim to remove any barriers people may face so that cricket can be accessible to all and build a cricket community.
We currently have various sessions running across Luton with sessions in Peterborough to come soon.
Current sessions are:
What: Yo-Cricket
Where: Hockwell Ring Community Centre, Mayne Ave, Leagrave, Luton LU4 9LB
When: Mondays 11 - 12:30pm
Yo-Cricket is designed to be an inclusive platform that welcomes South Asian women of all ages and skill levels to participate in cricket. This initiative focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment where women can learn yoga and cricket , develop their skills, and build friendships, while also breaking down cultural barriers that often restrict their participation in physical activities.
What: Badminton-Cricket
Where: MEA, 2-32 Beechwood Rd, Maidenhall, Luton LU4 8RP
When: Tuesdays 11 - 1pm
Badminton-Cricket focuses on engaging women and girls through creating a safe and supportive environment where they can learn badminton and cricket.
What: Zumba cricket
Where: Betty Dodd old home, 35 Grange Avenue, Leagrave, Luton LU4 9AS
When: Thursdays
Zumba cricket for the residents of Betty Dodd.
What: Youth festival
Where: Chalkhills Academy
When: Fridays 6 - 9pm
What: Adult Indoor Tapeball League
Where: Lealands High School, 244 Sundon Park Rd, Luton LU3 3AL
When: Saturdays 10 - 1pm
What: Ramzan league starting in March 2025
