The sessions have focussed on supporting wellbeing and mathematical development through cricket.
Jacob Danaher Dogsthorpe Hub February 2018
"Hi, my name is Jacob and I am in Year 6 at Dogsthorpe Academy. I attend the cricket club after school run by Dave in my school hall. The other week in half term we also had a session at the Focus Community Centre near the school. I have never played any sports before but love to come and play cricket after school."
Jacob's mother Elaine said: "Jacob enjoys going to cricket as it is an outlet for him, for example: if he has had a hard day at school, he can just forget about it all at cricket and it is exercise for him as well. With regards to his school work, Jacob is lucky, as he is very bright and so the benefits Jacob gets out of this is enjoyment, emotional release, physical exercise. Jacob looks forward to going each week.
