Cricket East runs the Chance to Compete cricket competitions for state secondary school pupils across Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire.
Supported by the Chance to Shine charity, the Chance to Compete format is a fast-paced game aimed at those who are not regularly playing cricket.
We run competitions for Girls Under 13s and Under 15s. In all four competitions, local rounds will feed into County Finals before Regionals and then National Finals.
Format: Chance to Compete Outdoor Cricket
Team Size: 8 (squad of 10)
Equipment: Incrediball and wooden bats
Eligible Schools: State only
Eligible Players Boys Competition: County age group boys are excluded
Eligible Players Girls Competition: Any players involved in an England/England Regional Development squad are excluded

4th June at Bedford Modern School (just U13)
11th June at Flitwick CC (both age groups)
Bedfordshire U15:
6th June at Bedford Modern School (just U15)
11th June at Flitwick CC (both age groups)
Bedfordshire County Finals
25th June at Flitwick CC (both age groups)
Winner to attend the Chance to Compete Regional Competition(date & venue TBC but will be sometime between 26/06 and 12th July
Runners-up are invited to attend the 4 Counties Finals Day – 11th July at Kimbolton School (softball)
Huntingdonshire U13:
5th June at Peterborough Town CC
Huntingdonshire U15:
20th June at Peterborough Town CC
