Cricket East offers a varied programme for girls, working in partnership with clubs, schools, development and county age group cricket to create a pathway for girls in cricket.
With the appointment of Damianne Redpath - the Women and Girl's (Participation & Growth) Lead, and Emily Banks - Women & Girls Cricket Officer (Participation & Growth), new initiatives and better links are being made to build the participation and opportunities for girls in cricket across Bedfordshire & Huntingdonshire.
Working with clubs and school, we are hoping to ignite the love of cricket by providing all girl opportunities to play cricket within a variety of competitive frameworks.
Several positive conversations have started with clubs across Cricket East with enthusiastic teams keen to take their cricket to the next level and we will be working on solutions that put all these enthusiastic clubs in touch with each other and start playing more cricket!
